About New Site, MS - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

New Site is located in Prentiss County, Mississippi, and this unincorporated community is home to about 850 residents. This community is located most closely to the neighboring towns of Tishomingo, Marietta, and Altitude. However, there are several large cities located within driving distance: Memphis is about 2 hours to the west, while Birmingham, Alabama is about two hours southeast of New Site.

As an extremely small community, New Site is not home to any notable attractions. There are two churches located here: East Prentiss Baptist Church and New Bethel Church of Christ. Crow’s Sport Center, a local sporting goods store, is also found here.

Fortunately, there are several other attractions located in Prentiss County. Booneville is home to the Booneville Country Club, which is a popular destination for golf enthusiasts, and some visitors may like to take a tour of the Rails and Trails Museum in the old Booneville Train Depot. Outdoor recreation is also popular in this county, as Bay Springs Lake is located here and offers outstanding fishing, water skiing, swimming, and boating, and there are also facilities for camping and picnicking.

New Site residents will need to utilize both home heating and cooling systems throughout the year in order to stay comfortable regardless of what Mother Nature throws at them. During the summer, temperatures will reach the 90s, but high humidity can make it feel quite unpleasant. An air conditioning unit is a crucial part to a safety plan during these times, and HVAC professionals recommend that homeowners take advantage of the cooler months to have these systems serviced.

During the winter, temperatures can also be extreme, as it is entirely possible for thermostat readings to plummet below the freezing point. During these times, residents will switch off their air conditioning units in favor for a heat pump or furnace to keep interior temperatures comfortable. Without these systems in place, freezing pipes and dangerous indoor temperatures are all possibilities.
